HISP EMR Background
HISP EMR is a proprietary electronic medical record system owned and maintained by HISP Rwanda. It is designed to support facilities of any size, integrating clinical care, pharmacy, laboratory, billing, and administrative workflows. The system focuses on patient-centered care by recording encounters, observations, diagnoses, procedures, medications, orders, and other clinical and administrative activities in a secure, structured format.
The system is modular, web-based, and deployed under the management of HISP Rwanda, ensuring compliance with national standards and local requirements. HISP EMR is implemented in multiple health facilities and supports modern clinical workflows, reporting, and patient management.
Mobile Access: A dedicated mobile application is currently under development. The mobile app will enable clinicians and facility staff to access patient records, capture observations, manage appointments, and receive alerts directly from smartphones or tablets, enhancing convenience and real-time clinical decision-making.
